With a new denture it is best to be careful when eating as denture teeth are not as strong as natural teeth. This can mean eating smaller bites, and being mindful to chew on both sides of your mouth. The biggest food culprits for broken dentures we hear are chocolate and nuts. Try not to bite into chocolate, instead let it melt in your mouth. Be careful when chewing nuts, the most safe option will be opting for nut butters such as peanut butter, cashew butter, and almond butter.
